MYSTERY QUILT CLASS
MYSTERY QUILT – 60” X 72” – PATTERN - $5 CAROL KING - 425-449-9240 – WILSONHILLQUILTS@GMAIL.COM Pre-class instructions with registration confirmation. Come join us for a fun mystery that will keep you guessing till the finish. The class will be fun, friendly, and finishable! This project can be very scrappy or can be color coordinated. The background needs to have a good contrast. (I used white.)
EXPANDING STARS – VARIABLE – Pattern $7 - THURSDAY EVENING BARBARA KASPERSON – 253-226-6203 - email@example.com Pre-class instructions with registration confirmation. With 5 different sizes to choose from there are lots of possibilities for this quilt design. Everyone makes the same number of pieces, with the size of pieces getting larger with each size quilt. There will be trimming of half square triangles. (Not too many) Needed for class - Square ruler with a diagonal line for the appropriate size quilt you are making Baby – 3”, Throw – 4½”, Lg Throw - 5½”, Queen 6½”, King - 7½” Choose fabrics that will allow the expanding star to show. Small prints and tone on tone fabrics work as well as solids.

This bag is so cool. It has places for so many pockets and so many zippers and hiding places. There are two optional foundation pieced blocks to go on the sides of the bag (optional). There is a closed zipper top (optional), a specific place for keys, and a specific place to put a drink cup or bottle on the inside of the bag. Oh did I tell you that you can make this bag in different sizes? You will be sad you missed out on this bag if you don’t take the class. There is also a little bit of pre-class work to be done so register early. Supply List 1 yard main fabric for outside of bag and handles 1 yard of coordinating fabric for inside of purse and pockets, binding ½ yard of muslin fabric or any light colored (non –printed) fabric 1 yard of Pellon brand Flex Foam 2 sided fusible stabilizer (FF79F2) ½ yard of fusible fleece for the handles 1 yard of medium weight fusible interfacing (not fusible web) 1 zipper 14” or longer (I used a plain regular zipper) bag closure 1 zipper 6” or longer for hidden zipper (outside of bag) 1 key ring and lobster claw for purses Thread, scraps of fabric for the foundation pieced blocks, metal awl, heavy duty straight pins (the yellow headed pins work great), basic sewing supplies including a seam ripper. MAKE FISH! - PATTERN & CLASS SUPPLY FEE – $18 - FRIDAY MORNING This is a hands on class - 3 HRS SIT DOWN IN CLASS WITH TEACHER, AND SUPPLIES BARBARA HYLTON – 360-588-9134 – BZHYLTON521@YAHOO.COM No pre-class instructions. Let’s “paint” with bits of fabric that are fused down, then complete by thread painting the fish details like scales during the quilting process. In class Barbara will have batik fabrics prepared with Steam-A-Seam 2 and other supplies for you to create a modern fish which you will apply to your background. Ideas for quilting your fish will be discussed. This is a good sized project to practice machine quilting. Barbara’s excellent eye for color and design will guide your decisions to insure everyone is successful and goes home with a FISH you can brag about. Class supplies A batik background you want for your fish Batting Fabric for binding Fabric for backing - 1 yd (more than enough) Thread(s) to blend with colors you have in mind or variegated thread. If you have a large non-stick pressing sheet – bring it but don’t purchase one if you don’t have one.

This is a Fun and fantastic quilt using 2 ½” strips. Great way to use up some of your stash, or buy that jelly roll you’ve been needing an excuse to purchase.

Let’s cut up some perfectly good fabric (The Crystal Cracked) and sew it back together again. Debra invites you to heal the Cracked Crystal and restore Harmony in the world. CHOOSING COLORS AND FABRICS It is suggested that you start with a focus fabric that you love and then choose other fabrics around the focus fabric.

Pre-class instructions with registration confirmation. This is a very easy quilt to make and choose fabrics for. One background and one layer cake (or 372 – 3” squares if you want a scrappier look.) Assembled with squares and rectangles makes this easy to sew. You can add a border or even leave off rows for a larger or smaller project. (No fabric requirements are provided for altering the size taught in class.) All prints, tone on tone, solids and batiks will work well in this pattern. One more stunning pattern by “Sew Kind Of Wonderful” using the Quick Curve ruler will be utilized in this class. One ruler with multiple patterns and variations to pick from. This class will introduce and expand on another of the design possibilities. Metro Twist will lead you to successful curves with stunning results. Use your imagination to make the Metro Twist all your own. Class sample is done in florals and yours will be???
