URBAN CHAIN - 46" X 74" - $7 pattern - Ruler (required) - $15 - PM CLASS Donna Bybee - email@example.com - 360-201-1956
This class will be another pattern using the Quick Curve Ruler that we used in class last year Love those curves - if you've bought the ruler - now what? Or have you wanted to try sewing curves?
One ruler with many patterns. Do you like curves? Easy gentle curve to sew. This ruler is used to cut curve shapes out and square the blocks after piecing.
Fabric Requirements: 9 fat quarters (assorted prints) (or feel free to use your scraps for each fat quarter is cut 10" by 18" & 8 1/2" x 12") (you can have more than 9 assorted prints) 3 yards background & sashing strips 1/2 yard for binding 3 yards for backing Have a sharp rotary cutter 1/4" Foot is very helpful for sewing curves
Bring some extra fabric to practice sewing about 5 -10 curve blocks if needed. This will help you feel more comfortable sewing these curves before you start sewing the project.

BARGELLO PALACE - 64 1/2" X 80 1/2" - $7.00 - AM CLASS Debra Burgess - email@example.com - 425-335-3676
The original Bargello Palace is in Florence, Italy. Bargello was really popular several years ago, but the idea of working with huge long strip sets and keeping them in order, well, it really put me off. I managed to complete one such challenge, but would like to offer up an easier to handle option: one block at a time. This quilt can be planned scrappy like the class sample (light, medium and dark). It can be color controlled (one color, many values). It can be arranged as a color wash or color wheel. It can be shaded from white to black or lightest neutral to chocolate brown. See what you have in your stash that could work or heaven forbid, go shopping. SUPPLY LIST: 10 fabrics 2/3 yards of each - Fabric MUST have at least 43” of useable width Cutting mat 11” X 17” (if using a larger mat or sharing a mat with others, bring a piece of cardboard, flannel board or foam core board at least 11” X 17” to transfer pieces to your sewing machine) Rotary cutter with a sharp blade!! Ruler at least 3” wide X 12” long minimum (I use 6 ½” X 12”, it’s what I have) Neutral thread New sewing machine needle size 12 or 14 COLOR IDEAS: The class sample was planned around the darkest fabric. That fabric contained peachy pink, turquoise, and sort of acid green. Planning around one fabric is one way to go. More fabric choices and pre-class cutting instructions are included with retreat confirmation.
TWISTED PIPES - 4 sizes - $7 - PM CLASS Barbara Kasperson - firstname.lastname@example.org - 253-226-6203 This is a really interesting, interlocking chain design. The pattern uses 2 1/2' strips and a background. You can cut your own strips or choose to use pre-cut strips. Make sure you have the correct number of strips for your quilt size. This pattern is easy enough for a beginner and interesting enough for everyone.
**Please bring all extra of your fabrics to class **Please note there will be pre-class cutting instructions included with your retreat confirmation.
